Motu Road closed on 12 October 2024 from 6.30am to 11am for the Motu Challenge
It is proposed to close Motu Road temporarily from the Motu Village to the boundary with Opotiki District on Saturday 12 October 2024 from approximately 6.30am to 11am for the mountain bike leg of the Motu Challenge event organised by Multi Sport Opotiki. The closure continues to SH35 via application to Opotiki District Council.
It would be an offense under the regulations for anyone, other than those permitted to do so, to use the road whilst it is closed.
Anyone objecting to this proposal can make their objection in writing stating the reason why. This must be received before 8am on 13 September 2024.
This notice is issued under the Local Government Act 1974 Section 342 and the Transport (vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965.
