VARIATION OF AN OFF-LICENCE

has made application to the Gisborne District Licensing Committee for a Variation to an Off-Licence in respect of the premises situated at 274 Gladstone Road, Gisborne.
The general nature of the business to be conducted under the licence is: Supermarket.
The days on which and the hours during which alcohol is intended to be sold under the licence are:
Monday to Sunday from 7am until 9pm.
Variation
Current condition: The only area where is permitted to display and promote alcohol is located to the left of the checkouts along two internal walls with shelving and floor display.
Proposed Variation of condition: Operate two single-sale areas from 1 June 2025 to 24 November 2026. The sub-area will operate alongside the main area during the ongoing store revamp. By the end of this period, or potentially sooner, the sub-area will be relocated to become the new main single-sale area.
The application may be inspected during ordinary office hours at the office of the Gisborne District Licensing Committee at the Gisborne District Council, 15 Fitzherbert Street, Gisborne.
Any person who is entitled to object and who wishes to object to the issue of the licence may, not later than 25 working days after the date of the publication of this notice, file a notice in writing of the objection with the Secretary of the District Licensing Committee at Gisborne District Council, PO Box 747, Gisborne 4040.
No objection to the issue of a new licence may be made in relation to a matter other than a matter specified in section 105(1) of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.
No objection to the renewal of a licence may be made in relation to a matter other than a matter specified in section 131 of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.
