Join the Board of Gisborne Holdings Limited: Be part of shaping the future of Tairāwhiti.
We are seeking expressions of interest for three independent directors, with an investment mindset, commercially centric skill set and “best for region” approach to join the board at Gisborne Holdings Limited (GHL).
This is an exceptional opportunity to help drive the growth and resilience of key investments in the region.
GHL is a Council Controlled Trading Organisation owned by Gisborne District Council (GDC). Their asset portfolio spans a range of significant commercial, farming, community and property-based investments. We are looking for governance or executive leaders with proven commercial expertise and experience in board environs.
You must have the ability to govern, guide and ensure GHL make best use of their unique investment portfolio and commercial position, all with the view of supporting Gisborne Council to help ensure Tairāwhiti develops and prospers.
Your focus will be to ensure ongoing and thorough governance oversight and assurance of GHL’s rigour and risk management, investment strategy, executive engagement, commercial performance, and shareholder return.
We are looking for a mix of exposure to commercial, farming, property investment, financial services (including CA expertise), and experience relating to capital structures and risk management.
Ethically driven, achievement focused leaders who can relate to and feel confident steering the future growth and resilience for a range of key investments in Tairāwhiti will align well here.
These governance roles act as a key investment pulse and sounding board for the region.
A deep commitment to and connection across the fabric and stakeholders of Gisborne / Tairāwhiti region, and an understanding of the importance of aligning commercial success with regional development is essential.
There is a strong desire to have all three of these appointments based locally in the Tairāwhiti region to ensure close connection and engagement with the community.
