3 wharves closed for assessment after storm

Tolaga Bay Wharf has reopened today – passing it’s structural inspection. The wharves at Tokomaru Bay and Hicks Bay remain closed until the inspections next Tuesday.

The 3 East Coast wharves were closed to the public on Tuesday after ex-Tropical Cyclone Pam hit the East Coast with huge swells.

Structural engineers LDE have been commissioned to inspect the wharves.

Tolaga Bay wharf was given the all-clear today.  Tokomaru Bay and Hicks Bay will be inspected on Tuesday.
For safety reasons, please stay off these wharves until we get the all clear.
