Voting all go for Gisborne Ward By-election

Voting for the Gisborne District Council’s Gisborne Ward by-election closes next week, but it’s not too late to vote.

Any elector who believes that they are eligible to vote, but hasn’t received their voting document, is advised to obtain a special voting pack from:

• Gisborne District Council’s Main Office, 15 Fitzherbert Street, Gisborne.
• By contacting the electoral office – telephone 0800 922 822.

If you vote by post, voting documents must be received by the electoral officer by 12 noon, Thursday 19 November 2020.

A polling place is available for you to hand deliver completed voting documents, until Wednesday 18 November 2020 during normal office hours, and on Thursday 19 November 2020 until noon at Gisborne District Council’s Main Office, 15 Fitzherbert Street, Gisborne.

A polling place will also be available from 9am until 12 noon on Thursday 19 November 2020 only, at the Lawson Field Theatre (7 Fitzherbert Street, Gisborne) for electors to obtain a special vote and/or hand deliver their completed voting document.

As of 10 November, 19.58% or 4,847 out of 24,761 electors have returned their voting documents.
