Road Closure - Maori Language Week Parade
Closures for the parade routes

It is proposed to temporarily close the following roads for the parade supporting Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori on 10 September from 9am until approximately 11.30am with the roads reopening as the parade passes along the route.
- Cobden Street - parade forms
- Gladstone Road
- Peel Street
- Peel Street Bridge
- Fitzherbert Street - parade moves onto Kelvin Park
Traffic management and controls will be in place, no vehicles will be able to use the road during the closure. Vehicles parked in the street will be able to exit until the parade enters their block.
Any person objecting to this proposal can make their objection in writing stating the reasons why. This must be received before 4pm on Tuesday 20 August 2019.
This notice is issued under the Local Government Act 1974 Section 342 and the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965.
