Single lane closures for parade route

It is proposed to temporarily close a single lane of the following roads for Hikoi Whakanui i te Reo Maori a parade supporting Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori on 14 September from 9am until approximately 11.30am with the roads reopening as the parade passes along the route.
- Cobden Street - parade forms
- Gladstone Road
- Peel Street
- Peel Street Bridge - full closure as parade crosses only
- Fitzherbert Street - parade moves onto Kelvin Park
Traffic management and controls will be in place, no vehicles will be able to use the road during the closure.
Any person objecting to this proposal can make their objection in writing stating the reasons why. This must be received before 4pm on Tuesday 24 August 2018.
This notice is issued under the Local Government Act 1974 Section 342 and the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965.
