Public Notice
Description: To drill up to three bores, take and use surface water from the Waipaoa
River for an injection trial and discharge water into the Makauri Aquifer via a
groundwater bore.
Closing Date: 22 July 2016 at 5:00pm

The following application for resource consent has been received by Bay of Plenty Regional Council who has been delegated to process the resource consent application on behalf of
Gisborne District Council.

The application documents, including an assessment of environmental effects, can be viewed at Gisborne District Council, 39 Gladstone Road, Gisborne during normal office hours.

The applicant has applied for resource consent to drill up to 3 bores, take and use surface water from the Waipaoa River for an injection trial and discharge water into the Makauri Aquifer via a groundwater bore. The activities are proposed to be located at 555 Matawai Road, Gisborne and 614 Bushmere Road, Gisborne.

The legal description of the site is Lot 28 DP 1154 (Gisborne District) and the site
is located at or about map references NZTM 2028441, 5714961 and NZTM
2027989, 5715196.

Any person may make a submission on the application by sending a written submission to Gisborne District Council at PO Box 747, Gisborne 4040,

Submissions close 5pm Friday 22 July.

The submission must be dated, signed by you and include:
1. Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address (if applicable).
2. Details of the application, including location.
3. Whether you support or oppose the application.
4. Your reasons for the submission.
5. The decision you wish the Regional Council to make.
6. Whether you wish to be heard in support of your submission.
