Council has consulted on a proposal to restrict drinking alcohol in parts of Tokomaru Bay under its Alcohol Control Bylaw.
With a high level of community support, Council has decided to implement restrictions for
these areas: parts of State Highway 35 in the township, some public reserve and beachfront areas, children’s playground, Hatea-a-Rangi Domain, Waima Wharf and Te Puka Tavern car park.
Here's the bylaw with maps and the new restricted areas.
The restrictions started from 5 April 2019 and apply at all times.
